Hey, I’m Cara.
I’m an only child who grew up in a small town on the Washington-Oregon border, I have a degree in Chemistry from Seattle University I’ve never used (unless you count cooking as chemistry), and I have been in love with stories for as long as I can remember.
I’ve been married to my cowboy husband, Levi, for almost ten years now, and together we have three beautiful babies: Royce (6), Maggie (4), and Reid (4 mo.). He works on a ranch, I work 3/4-time from home as a bookkeeper, and together we struggle like crazy to make the dream of our own ranch come to fruition. In pre-dawn darkness and twilight hours, with babies on our backs and kids by our sides, you can find us caring for our own herd of 75 Black Angus mamas.
I love strong dark coffee, used books, leftovers for dinner, running outside, and the sound of a crackling fire. I am at my best in the mountains, and feel closest to God in nature. I believe words are a gift, vulnerability is powerful, and we all have a story to tell.
Thanks for stopping by,
-Cara
